Cotton Candy Topped Moët Rose Champagne at Piaf Restaurant in Grand Velas Los Cabos

In an ode to French singer Edith Piaf’s song, La Vie en Rose, the AAA Five Diamond Grand Velas Los Cabos is launching a Cotton Candy-topped Moët & Chandon Rose Champagne cocktail. The beverage will be served as a pre-dinner drink upon arrival to its French fine dining restaurant, Piaf. At the restaurant and throughout the resort, guests are truly in a state of bliss where everything around is a source of joy as the meaning behind the song entails.

Led by Chef Aurelien Legeay, member of the prestigious Maîtres Cuisiniers de France (Master Chefs of France), Piaf celebrates the flavors of sophisticated French cuisine with unique dishes that explore the country's culinary traditions and gourmet legacy. Menu highlights include terrine of foie gras mi-cuit on spicy bread served alongside a poached pear stuffed with saffron chutney and Sauterne jelly, sea bass crusted with saffron potato scales served alongside Baja California-glazed vegetables and a champagne sauce with lavender, and fresh herb crusted rack of lamb topped with morel mushroom sauce and a quinoa-stuffed leek cannelloni.

Designed by Mexican Larissa Garcia of Cassal Diseño Designs, the design inspiration for Piaf was a modern twist on France in the 1940’s to 1960’s, when Edith Piaf was at the top of her artistic career. Rich designs, details and dramatic spaces were achieved with both natural and authentic elements. Damasco marble, green Onyx, petrified marble and high-gloss wood were all specially treated to create high-contrast light effects full of shadows and highlights.

The Cotton Candy-topped Moët & Chandon Rose Champagne cocktail will be served at Grand Velas Los Cabos from August 19 through December 19, Edith Piaf’s birthday.
