Ashley Mireles-Salgado, Sales Manager for the Southwest Region, has been with IGS since 2015. Here she is on her first familiarization trip to Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit.

How did you get started in the industry?
I met Norma almost 10 years ago through family. Several years later, the opportunity presented itself for me to learn and absorb anything and everything travel related from our awesome team and I relocated to Dallas from San Antonio. Mr. Villela, Norma, Bacha, Susanna and team shared, and continue to share, their years of experience and knowledge with me.

What’s your favorite part about working at IGS?
Hands down….the people. I love meeting and interacting with different types of people who share various experiences, backgrounds and personalities. Between our clients, our hotel contacts and our IGS team, I am lucky to never experience the same day twice.

What are your favorite travel destinations?
Mexico holds a special place in my heart because of the numerous beautiful memories with wonderful people including my wedding last year, family trips, and FAM trips, to name a few.

What’s next on your bucket list?
I would love to visit Costa Rica and Europe as well.
What inspires you?
My family. Everything I do is for my daughter and husband. They make a bad day better and a good day THAT much better because I am with them.
