Meet Paula Hill, Director of Sales - Southeast Region

Paula Hill, Director of Sales for the Southeast Region, joined IGS in 2010.


How did you get started in the industry? 

I have worked in the tourism industry since 1980, beginning as a retail travel agent for a small agency in Long Island, New York. I completed a BS in Business Administration at NYIT in 1986 and moved over to the marketing side as a travel advertising sales representative for various print magazines and newspapers. My career evolved in the meetings & incentives market when I joined Corporate Meetings & Incentives (and partner publications) where I headed a global team of ad sales offices from 1992-2009. I happily left print media and joined IGS in 2010, allowing me to apply my sales skills and industry connections of 20 years to very exclusive portfolio of IGS.

What’s your favorite part about working at IGS?

First of all, it’s the people and the great support offered by Norma Alberico and our team every day. The key to a successful career in sales is the belief and conviction in what you are selling. I believe in the integrity and professionalism of the IGS team and that of the fabulous hotels and resorts we proudly represent. It is both fun and rewarding to work with our valued clients and build trust. The team at IGS makes it easy!

What are your favorite travel destinations? 

In my 30 year tourism related career, I have traveled far and wide to many countries. They are all very special. I don’t have a favorite…….really!!

What’s next on your bucket list? 

I just want to keep on evolving as the best person I can be, personally and professionally. And……… get my golf handicap down a bit!

What inspires you?

God, Family, and my wonderful best friend of 18 plus years, Joe Callan, the love of my life.
