Mexican Immigration Forms No Longer Required For U.S. Citizens

We would like to make you aware of information we have received from various sources noting that as of August 19, 2022, U.S. citizens arriving to the Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, and Los Cabos International Airports will no longer be required to fill out an Immigration Form by hand or online. The 3 very popular vacation destinations were chosen as part of a Pilot Program that, if proven to be safe and efficient, will be extended to the entire country.

Instead of filling out a paper Formato Migratorio Múltiple (FMM), most travelers will simply have their passports stamped for a 180-day stay. This new process also eliminates the need to keep track of a piece of the old form known as a ‘tourist card,’ that needed to be handed back to the authorities to leave the country – and which had a replacement fee of USD $35. The announcement also noted that certain countries may receive a shorter stay stamped into their passports.
